It’s likely that some small (or large!) part of us is still in love with these tales, and when circumstances are just right, we can act out a bit of our favourite tales by decorating ourselves with bits and bobs that seem to have come from Faerie itself. There are countless faerie tales out there in which humans are drawn to wondrous, luminous creatures. One can easily envision the kind of radiant beings that would emerge from barrows and hill-forts: creatures that seem to have leapt forth from paintings by Alan Lee or Brian Froud.
A ring like this would be absolutely perfect for a forest-dwelling nymph, faerie, or elf, wouldn’t it? Can’t you just imagine an elf from Rivendell or Lothlorien falling in love with its twig-like shape and glowing peridot gemstone? Wearing something like this would be like carrying a bit of forest magic with you every day.
